Makes 12 biscuits
1 pkg Honey Mountain Country Biscuit mix
1-1/2 cups sharp white cheddar cheese, grated
1 bunch (6-8) spring onions, finely chopped
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees (F).
(Drop Method)
Place biscuit mix, cheese, onions, salt, paprika, black pepper and cayenne pepper in bowl. Mix until well incorporated. Add melted butter and milk. Stir 35 – 40 strokes. Spoon by heaping tablespoon onto baking sheet. Bake for 12 minutes or until tops are nicely browned.
(Roll & Cut Method, preferred if served with whipped honey)
Place biscuit mix, cheese, onions, salt, paprika, black pepper and cayenne pepper in bowl. Mix until well incorporated. Add melted butter and milk. Stir 35 – 40 strokes. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface. Knead 8 – 10 times. Roll dough out into a 1/2 inch thick sheet, dusting with flour as needed to avoid sticking, and cut with a floured biscuit or cookie cutter. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until tops are nicely browned.
